Their biscuits and gravy were hands down some of the best I've ever had--fluffy biscuits smothered in rich, flavorful gravy that had just the right amount of seasoning. The eggs were cooked perfectly, making for the ultimate comfort meal. My husband ordered the pork chop with eggs and country potatoes, and wow--it was phenomenal! The pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned, paired perfectly with the crispy, golden potatoes. You can truly taste the care that goes into every dish. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with that classic hometown diner feel that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. “ Came here to celebrate earning my BA with breakfast from a place I've always wanted to try and that did not disappoint! I always judge a place on whether their menu is good based on they chicken fried steak and it was probably the best I've ever had. The potatoes were amazing too. This is probably the first time in a long time where I was actually able to eat all of my food! Perfect portions and just full and satisfied. The last who was bussing the tables was super friendly too? ”

“ We came here on Saturday morning for a "brunch" which was more like lunch. It wasn't busy at all and we sat right away. The staff were super attentive and helpful! they understood the assignment when it came to bringing our coffee. I got the French toast plate with chicken apple sausage and my man got the omelette with chicken apple sausage, spinach and cheese. Everything was really good. The potatoes with the omelette- DELICIOUS. My French toast was perfection and my eggs were cooked just right. We both agreed that we really liked it and couldn't wait to go back. Cute little ma and pa place right of the highway. It's super cozy inside so be prepared for that! 10/10 recommend. ”

“ I'm in Vacaville today. Yesterday, I saw Wren's Café. I actually saw Wren's Café a few times already. I've been meaning to do this a long time. I knew I had to go back here. I'm more of an all day Breakfast, late night, or 24 Hours Diner type of person. I don't know why this Café is closed so early at 1:30 PM, but I'm glad I'm here. When I got here, there was a good amount of people here. It looks cozy, vintage, and classic in here. I liked how as soon as I arrived, they let me pick any table or booth. I noticed how there was a real California State Senate Resolution hanging on one of the walls, that's slightly impressive. Then some people right next to me were talking about a House Speaker that passed away 2 years ago for some reason, I didn't know what House Speaker they were referring to, so I looked it up and I'm thinking they were talking about the 73rd Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives. And it was nice to see some people next to them saying a prayer, before their meal. Some of the people working here are very hard-working, no-frills, very direct, you know what you want and they'll get exactly what you need type of people. Sometimes I like that, there's no fuss. It also appears to be a family "friendly" spot. I knew what I wanted. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. This is an Annie's Classic Cheeseburger with an original 1/3 pound charbroiled Certified Angus Beef Patty and all the fixings. I had to do it. And I opted, to get some Sweet Potato Fries with it this time. I liked how they asked me what Cheese I want on it, and there was a great selection to choose from. I went with my favorite, Swiss Cheese. And Sweet Potato Fries is slightly healthier, with more fiber, beta carotene, and Vitamin A. I liked how I can see the kitchen from the dining room. The Chef here is very skilled, talented, and efficient. The Cheeseburger came out so fast, but when I saw it I knew I liked it and it was going to be delicious. The freshly baked Bun felt like it was custom made for this Cheeseburger, it was glistening. The Cheeseburger itself, was jammed packed with flavor and seasoned well. It is almost as good as a Steakhouse Cheeseburger. The Beef was very high quality and juicy. And I liked the idea of the Veggies and fresh Pickle served on the side, so I can build it myself or take a bite here and there or all together. The Sweet Potato Fries were amazing, it was cooked perfectly. I don't know how they did it, I know the Fries wasn't cooked in butter, but it was crunchy and had a buttery element to it like Butternut Squash. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.8-4.1 stars, this could be a 4.3 stars on a good day, but I give this 4.2 stars. ”

“ We were in Vacaville looking for the Black Bear Diner when I misunderstood my GPS directions and turned into Wren's Cafe parking lot! So, we decided to try it! This was a magical happy accident! We were greeted by a lovely, joyful wait person, we were seated in a nice clean booth. The menu was extensive. We each ordered a different sandwich and each one was DELICIOUS! Both the French fries and sweet potato fries were excellent! Service was friendly and efficient! We can't wait to go back! We will arrange our monthly trips to Vacaville so we can go to Wren's Cafe before they close at 1:30 !!!!! ”

“ Following a busy morning of errands, my husband and I decided to grab a late breakfast at Wren's Cafe, a local favorite. We arrived past 10 am, and the small establishment was still bustling with customers. My husband snagged the last table, inadvertently securing a spot next to the lone bathroom. With little options, we attempted to move past its proximity. Our waitress was prompt and helpful, delivering our coffee quickly as we decided on breakfast. The coffee was wonderful and hit the spot for us. My husband chose the pancake combo with chicken apple sausage, while I opted for the breakfast burrito. As we waited for our food, we savored the ambiance. The interior had a cozy Mom and Pop feel, which we appreciated. The view from the windows, however, was less than desirable, with a chain-link fence looking out to the freeway. A privacy fence, perhaps with natural elements, would have been a welcome improvement. Our food arrived in a reasonable time. My husband enjoyed his pancakes and recommended I try the sausage, which was excellent. My burrito was good, but the country potatoes were a letdown, as they were not cooked from scratch as I had expected. Their restaurant was busy the entire time we ate, with people waiting for tables, showing its popularity. We'll return, but next time, we'll wait for a table on the other side of the restaurant. ”

“ Great food & service! Eggs ordered over-easy & over-medium were cooked perfectly. Bacon also cooked perfectly. Appreciated the Man size portion option for my very hungry boyfriend. The breakfast potatoes were yummy. We realized we could have substituted french fries for breakfast potatoes, and we really wanted to try the french fries. Our server kindly brought us some french fries so we could sample them...they were delicious! This is a great café to stop at, it's right off the freeway. ”

“ Stopped here for Mother's Day's Breakfast, this is an absolutely adorable little cafe. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. One recommendation: when sautéing onions, make sure there's enough oil to keep it from getting burnt on the grill Our server was on point, she made sure we were fully stocked on napkins and were well served on coffee. This is a cute place to take your family for a Sunday morning breakfast after being on the road. Cute place. Had to get a mug to remember this place. ”

But if you're looking for a down to earth , mom& pops local place, with hearty food and simple selections, this is your spot. Service is fast and they love to refresh your coffee (like every 15 mins) Yes, the chairs look like they need some love and repair- but that's what gives it character. Food: I ordered grilled pork chop- it's delicious. It was a bit overcooked in the middle- but it's so big- I never made it to the middle. The potatoes are crispy and a perfect vehicle for the perfectly cooked over easy eggs and ketchup . Over all coming back here again. ”
